And save your knees by putting your seat high enough to almost straighten your leg at the furthest extension of the pedals. With the seat too low your knees are always grinding in a bent position which is bad. Pedal faster (higher RPMs) with lighter force in a lower gear ,to make it easy on your knees too. You'll get the of it with some experience. Allow time to get used to it and be sensitive to what your body tells you.
